First Time to be Father

I just wonder what it is feeling to be a father at the first time. I have this  co- worker and I just  learned straight form him that his wife just gave birth to a Baby Boy through cesarian section.. sad to say because of his wife complication in appendicitis. What was sad to imagine is that he is far away from his family, in short his not there to witness when his first child born. My co-worker worked here in Davao and his wife stayed in Manila. I know his so happy that finally, his  a Dad now, I could see in his eyes when he broke the news to us that his wife already give birth but I could also feel the sadness that he is not there to be with his wife and to see his first born child.
